MOTOSPRAY Rust Converter Primer & Sealer converts rust to a stable, black primed finish preventing further corrosion. It can be primed, filled and painted over to give additional corrosion proofing or sound deadening. It is suitable to treat rust in all areas
where MOTOSPRAY Deoxidiser & Rust Remover is recommended and is ideal for use in inaccessible areas and for tools and components that are usually not primed or rust proofed.

SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove all loose rust, flaking paint and mill scale by using wire brush etc. Use MOTOSPRAY Prepwash to wash the surface to remove all traces of wax, grease, silicone, oil, salt, mould, mildew, dust and dirt. Allow to dry before applying MOTOSPRAY Rust Converter. Mask off surrounding areas to avoid over painting.
APPLICATION: Mix by shaking the bottle vigorously. Pour into a plastic container. Pour only enough for the job and don’t return left over Rust Converter to the bottle. Brush a liberal coating of Rust Converter over the rusted surface (2 coats for maximum durability). If applying multiple coats, allow ample time for drying between coats. No sanding is required prior to applying topcoat and ensure surface is dry before applying topcoat. Do not apply to hot surfaces or non-rusted surfaces. MOTOSPRAY Rust Converter Primer & Sealer is not a rust preventative for clean steel.
FINISHING: Suitable for use under most paint systems. May be left up to 3 months before priming and topoating. With single pack paints allow minimum drying 3 hours at 20°C before applying primers or topcoats. For 2 pack paints allow 24 hours drying at 20°C. CLEAN UP: Immediately after painting, clean brushes, equipment and small spills with water and detergent. For dried material clean up with MOTOSPRAY Superglow General Purpose Thinner.
